Time+Space return from a successful London International Music Show!
Monday, June 15, 2009

Following weeks of preparation, the Time+Space team headed off to the UK’s capital last week for the second London International Music Show at Dockland’s ExCel Centre.
Combining all elements of the music industry from instruments, hardware and software to books, magazines and education courses, the show provided visitors with a wealth of opportunities to experience new products, participate in seminars and meet some famous faces...
We were lucky enough to be joined on the Time+Space stand by one such famous face – Dirk Verbeuren – the hugely talented heavy metal drummer from bands such as Soilwork and Scarve. Dirk, who recorded custom midi for Toontrack’s ‘The Metal Foundry´ (the new expansion pack for Superior Drummer 2.0) pulled in the crowds with some outstanding performances and David Haynes also joined him throughout the show for some impromptu jamming that couldn’t fail to impress visitors.
Meanwhile, Sontronics gave visitors the chance to experience their range of mics and pre-amps including their latest release ‘DELTA’ the rugged ribbon microphone which was demonstrated with the ingenuous ‘RockBox’. This soundproofed isolation box contained the DELTA positioned next to a guitar amp connected out to a guitar and headphones. Visitors wore the headphones, played the guitar and experienced exactly how well the DELTA works on guitar amps.
ESI’s range of audio hardware attracted a lot of interest with performances from guitarist Adrian Dunn on the Saturday proving exactly why ESI products continue to gain in popularity amongst both hobbyists and professional studios. The monitoring speakers in particular caught visitors’ ears – speaking of which, it was great to see legendary producer Tony Platt at the show who strongly endorses the nEar05 monitors.
If you visited the show, we hope you managed to pick up a Time+Space bag packed with flyers, stickers, free samples and much more courtesy of our fantastic suppliers. And thank you to those of you who completed our short survey – it’s so helpful to keep up to date with the software you’re using, the magazines you read and which products you’re looking to buy in the next few months.
If there was anything from Time+Space that caught your eyes (or ears!) at this year’s LIMS that you’d like to know more about click here to contact us. In the meantime, we look forward to doing it all again next year!
