Toontrack Solo
Toontrack have released information on Solo, a host application for Toontrack Music samplers providing stand alone operation, multi-instance operation and support for specialist MIDI controllers.
Toontrack Solo will be released as a free download before the end of October 2007 to all registered users of EZ and Superior Drummer sampler users.

- A Toontrack Music drumsampler, dfh EZdrummer or Superior Drummer.
- Sound card with up-to-date ASIO or CoreAudio drivers

Drumtracker
Drumtracker is a host independent, stand-alone, multi-track audio to MIDI converter software for sound replacement. This is the third release from Toontrack in a series of sampler peripheral products. It all started with the release of EZplayer Free earlier in 2007 and the announcement of Toontrack Solo this week.
Drumtracker gives you manual control over tracking and exporting and lets you select which part or parts of a drum track that you want to export, down each single hit.
Each triggering point is graphically represented and you can set max/min velocity and threshold values for each instrument and articulation. Drumtracker allows you to export all drums to one single MIDI file or as separate MIDI files and to choose between different output MIDI mappings adapted for your favorite drum sampler format.
Drumtracker will be available in January 08.

Superior 2.0 ´The NY Studio Legacy Series´
Long in the works the interface and feature set of Toontrack Music’s next professional sample engine for drums Superior Drummer 2.0 together with the all new sample libraries included in the first release ”The New York Studio Legacy series” is revealed just ahead of the 123rd AES show in New York. The sneak peek includes the unveiling of a number of features, parts of the interface, the recording teams and venues.
Superior Drummer 2.0 has been re-developed for optimized use with e-drums, more effective use of sample layers and much improved loading times. It has also been fitted with an entirely new interface featuring the simple handling and lay out of EZdrummer but with in-depth features added, such as an all new internal mixer featuring bussing and leakage control capabilities and built in FX delivered from prestigious Liverpool based plug-in maker Sonalksis such as 5-band EQ, High and Low pass filter, Gate, Compression & Transient Designer.
The construction window lets the user mix and match sounds from the previous generation of Superior, EZX:s and the new Superior Drummer 2.0 recordings.
Superior Drummer 2.0, the New York Studio Legacy series were recorded by Pat Thrall, Neil Dorfsman and Nir Z at Hit Factory, NY, Avatar Studios and at Allaire studios.
Superior Drummer 2.0 will include custom MIDI played by Nir Z accessed through EZplayer, and feature stand alone capacity through Toontrack Solo.
Projected release for Superior Drummer 2.0 – ”The New York Studio Legacy Series”, is Q1 2008. It will be available for Intel Mac and PC for AU, VSTi and RTAS.
