Michael Bearden uses Ivory II for Michael Jackson tribute
Friday, January 21, 2011
Michael Bearden was Michael Jackson's musical director for "This Is It" - the series of 50 concerts that were to be held in London before Jackson's untimely death. Bearden can be seen as the keyboardist in the film documenting Michael Jackson's rehearsals of the concert series and he was also the music supervisor, composer, and associate producer of the film.
In this video, Bearden talks about why he chose to use Synthogy's award winning Ivory II Grand Pianos software for the recording of 'One Last Goodbye' -- a stirring and soulful tribute featuring the vocals of Ayanna Irish.
This video arrives just as Ivory II Grand Pianos gets another rave press review – this time from one of the industry's leading pro-audio magazines Sound on Sound. They concluded:
"It ticks all the boxes: sound quality, playability, flexibility. And then it ticks a few more: reliability, efficiency, ease of use. This is industry standard, production-ready software that´s a joy to have around. There´s little else to say. Just go and play it..."
