CinePerc PRO is an extremely useful part of the large Cinesamples CinePerc library, it will expand your composing toolbox, and blend perfectly with all of the other “Cine” series libraries. It includes many more percussion instruments for your template. In general, these patches give you control over sounds that were more recently standardized in 20th Century music and film scores. They will expand your composing toolbox, and blend perfectly with all of the other “Cine” series libraries.
CinePerc CORE brings you the bread and butter of the orchestral percussion section – generally instruments that were standard in pre-20th Century scores. This set of instruments will cover a large part of your day-to-day orchestral percussion needs.
CinePerc EPIC is the most beastly of the four CinePerc packages. This installment contains many of the largest drums recorded on film scores, games and trailers, with one main goal in mind: BIG
CinePerc AUX is an auxiliary expansion to the other CinePerc options that will expand your template along with your creativity. This expansion includes many of the other colors you’ll need in your percussion writing. It includes ethnic instruments, toys, and other knick-knacks to give your pieces an extra flavour.
What´s new in V1.2
Merging Prior Libraries
CinePerc as a whole is now represented by one library, rather than four (Core, Pro, Aux, Epic). All instruments are clearly organized into a new folder structure which helps the user instantly identify which type of sound they are looking for (for instance Metals, Melodic, Ethnic, etc.). The original instruments have also been preserved in their own folder labeled ´08 LEGACY´.
Kontakt Player Compatible
CinePerc does not require you to purchase any additional sample playback software, and is licensed to work with Native Instrument’s free Kontakt Player. Now all you need is a sequencer like Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer, LIVE, or Pro Tools, and you’ll be up and running.
Orchestral Ensemble Patch
The brand new "CinePerc Orchestral Percussion Ensemble" patch is comprised largely of instruments from the ´01 ORCHESTRAL´ folder, giving the user a complete orchestral percussion pallet underneath their fingers. Intuitively mapped, this patch makes creating orchestral percussion mockups quick and easy. Detailed mapping info can be found in the User Manual (downloadable below).
The entire line of CinePerc instruments have been remapped in order to create a consistent and intuitive layout for the user. Non-chromatic instruments have now been centered around middle C on the keyboard, so the user knows instantly where to begin upon loading a new instrument and playing. Other small tweaks have also been added for ease of use, such as several instruments being split out to their own patch for clarity sake (for instance different mallet types, different snare drums, etc., now each have their own patch).

CinePerc is Cinesamples´ largest download to date as it is a collection of 4 libraries in 1. The disk footprint is 100GB in total. To speed things up, the library is split into a popular archive format known as ´RAR´. The included installer will expand them automatically once the download is complete. Please be prepared to allow time for the packaged samples to download.
