Get songwriter, producer and avid Toontrack user Mitch Allan´s (Daughtry, Faith Hill, Backstreet Boys) take on how to best tweak the Music City SDX for it to sit perfectly in a mix. Mitch also knows that quick results and great sounds is key when writing.
"I find that most songwriters are not engineers, so you have to get good sounds as fast as possible and I´m hoping that my presets will be the fastest way for you to get that sound you want - right there at your fingertips", he says.

Writer/Producer Mitch Allan recently wrapped up writing and producing songs for Delta Goodrem, The Summer Set, Gin Wigmore, David Archuleta, Demi Lovato, All Time Low and Simple Plan. Previously, he penned the American Idol finale song “No Boundaries” and earned a cut on Idol runner-up Allison Iraheta’s new release Just Like You (Jive). Mitch is enjoying the success of his Jessie James single, “Wanted”, on the heels of his Jonas Brothers single “Play My Music” created for Disney’s original hit movie Camp Rock. He´s also back on Camp Rock 2 with Demi Lovato´s "Brand New Day" and his numerous songs in the Hannah Montana series, as well as several other Disney acts. Having previously written/produced on Daughtry’s self-titled 4x-platinum debut LP, Mitch now has a single on their new album, entitled Leave This Town.
Mitch has seen international success with crossover acts like Diego Gonzalez, for whom Mitch wrote and produced his 1st single “Perdido En Ti” off the album Indigo (EMI), which ranked Top 5 in Mexico. Mitch also wrote and produced on the sophomore album for international multi-platinum EMI Latin artist Belinda. Her 2nd hit single “Bella Traicion”, co-written, Produced and Mixed by Mitch, received a 2008 Latin Grammy nomination for Song Of The Year. The song scored Top 10 on the Mexican Hot 100 Singles chart and Top 15 on the U.S. Hot Latin Tracks chart.
His first post artist success was the Top 5 hit "1985" written by Allan and performed by Bowling for Soup. The song has gone on to be certified Digital Triple Platinum, Is part of the compilation NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL MUSIC 17, selling over 3,000,000 copies, and the Bowling For Soup cd, A HANGOVER YOU DON’T DESERVE, which is certified Gold. Mitch has also written and produced for Joe Cocker, Hilary Duff, Backstreet Boys, Amie Miriello, Lesley Roy, Nick Lachey, Bowling For Soup, and Faith Hill.
Mitch emerged on the rock scene in 2000 as the lead-singer/songwriter for SR-71. Penning the #2 Modern Rock hit “Right Now,” SR-71 went on to sell over 1 million records. The single went on to appear in over a dozen films including Loser, Dude, Where´s My Car?, and American Pie. Less than two years later, SR-71´s second album, Tomorrow, written and co-produced by Allan, was released, producing another Top 15 single and catapulting worldwide sales to over 1 million. After establishing himself as an artist, Mitch began writing and producing for other artists, starting with the hit single “1985” for Bowling For Soup, which was certified Digital Triple Platinum and holds the iTunes record for most downloads in a single week.
