Soundscan Version 2 introduces programs in a lot of new sampler formats. The audio files are much improved: all files are compatible with the ACID-Enhanced .wav format, and all CDs featuring loops are supplied with .rx2 format (for Recycle 1 and 2 compatibility) in addition to .wav and AIFF files. Each product also now includes a great variety of programs mapping the samples for the major samplers: Akai programs (compatible with S5000, S6000, Z4, Z8 and MPC4000) plus software samplers: Emagic EXS24, Steinberg Halion, PropellerHeads Reason 2.0, and Mach 5.
Simply put, Electric and Acoustic Bass gives you the highest possible quality multisamples : nothing but the best bass sounds available today. Some patches have a real short sample as secondary sample, which is killer for syncopated musics like funk, while some others feature the harmonic for each note : ideal for lead lines and jazz rock.
