Based on their hugely popular STC-2, Sontronics´ new STC-20 large-diaphragm condenser mic was launched with four other products to mark their fifth anniversary in 2010.
The STC-20 is a large-diaphragm condenser mic with a cardioid condenser pattern and it features the same one-inch, gold-sputtered capsule as found in STC-2, housed within a large open grille.
This microphone has been specifically designed to combine all the professional sound and build quality that Sontronics microphones have become renowned for with excellent value. Yet despite its incredible affordablity, the STC-20 delivers brilliant results in most studio applications, particularly on male and female vocals, speech and voiceover, broadcast and acoustic guitars.
For those looking to add extra roundedness to the STC-20, the spider-style shockmount (in black) and aluminium flightcase will be available to purchase separately.
