Like Special Woodwinds, the Vienna Instruments Collection Special Brass offers resonant rarities that a first-rate virtual orchestra can’t do without.
To create the perfect counterpart for the now famous Epic Horns, VSL recorded an ensemble of six trumpet players (three trumpets in Bb and three in C). The Fanfare Trumpets provide tremendous impact with their sforzato and sforzatissimo playing techniques. And they deliver sparkling trumpet themes that soar magnificently above the orchestra.
As an added bonus, VSL were able to persuade Vienna ’s much-acclaimed solo trumpet player Freddy Staudigl to record another solo instrument from the trumpet group, the cornet.
The alto trombone expands the trombone family to its highest register, now making a total of four different trombone tunings available.
Each library comes with the Software Instrument, Standard Library, and Extended Library on DVD. You get each Collection with its Standard Library and the Software-Instrument (i.e., the engine with its user interface). You can also test the included Extended Library for a period of 30 days.
After purchasing a Vienna Instrument, which includes the Standard Library, registered users of the Vienna Symphonic Library and Horizon Series products will be granted extensive discounts to unlock the Extended Library of the Vienna Instrument.
