Sample CDs/DVDs come in a variety of shapes and sizes, not to mention formats. Each library contains a range of different samples which have been recorded specifically to be used in your productions. Some libraries contain just loops, some have single hits and others contain multisamples. You can find out what kind of samples are included on a product by browsing the product details page.
Some samples collections are compatible with a specific software program or hardware device, while others contain multiple formats and are designed to work with pretty much anything. For example, a product in Apple Loops format will import into Logic or Garageband on a Mac. Again, just click on a product and you can find out what formats are included in the package.
