Grammy and Brit award-winning Basement Jaxx aka Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe are a British electronic dance music duo who first rose to popularity in the late 1990s. The duo's music brings together a fascinating mix of styles with Techno welded to Latin while House Tangos with Calypso from the upbeat mania of ‘Red Alert' to the punk-funk delirium of ‘Where’s Your Head At?’. Their live shows prove just as colourful with a riot of feathers, dancers, singers, robots and an energy that knows no bounds.
In a recent interview with Computer Music magazine, Simon Ratcliffe revealed the band's love for Spectrasonics Omnisphere when he responded to the question 'Is there one piece of kit you couldn't live without out?' He replied:
"We have been using the Omnisphere a lot lately. That's probably our main synth - the sound is just so full and atmospheric. It sounds like a 3D synth!"
