CLOUD VIOLA 2
Sound Dust CLOUD VIOLA² is a deeply multisampled hybrid Kontakt instrument that takes a humble 17th century classical stringed instrument and lovingly shoves it into the modern world.
This isn't an attempt at any kind of authenticity (there are plenty of other Kontakt libraries out there for that already) CLOUD VIOLA² is all about creating new tones and textures which can work in a similar way to the original and go beyond.
CLOUD VIOLA² is perfect as a standalone signature instrument or for adding interesting texture to a 'proper' orchestra, using midi controllers and DAW automation she can be played with organic expressiveness and genuine emotion.
Unlike more conventional classical instruments she is completely in her comfort zone for cutting edge electronica, epic trailer massiveness quirky sound design and delicate contemporary classical.
She can easily go from delicate to feisty and sound like a haunted ballroom, huge busted orchestra, one hundred rusty mandolins, swarm of angry bees, dusty Mellotron.

Cloud Cello is the big brother (or sister, if you like) of the Cloud Viola 2. She's a deeply multisampled hybrid Kontakt sample library created from a ordinary 17th century classical stringed instrument, but played and recorded in an extra-ordinary way.
Cloud Cello opens up new orchestral-ish, cinematic tones and textures that sound both familiar and alien....in a good way.
There are also 38 free Cloud Cello patches for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 included with the Kontakt version.

Like the other members of the CLOUD family (see CLOUD VIOLA 2and CLOUD CELLO) Sound Dust CLOUD BASS is made by ditching the conventional bow in favour of a ridiculous system of springs and pulleys that drag coarse industrial grade garden twine over the strings of the double bass to create a long, slowly distressed new bowing articulation.
Recorded with different microphone techniques and mixed with more conventional double bass articulations and a selection of multi sampled analogue sub bass waveforms CLOUD BASS is a very different beast to the usual orchestral or jazz double bass sample libraries.
Expect amazing unheard sounds - low raspy rumbling, cinematic thuds and booms, delicate whispy swarms and CLOUD BASS can easily do a half decent LOVE CATS.
