Archtop: Hollowbody Electric Guitar is Impact Soundworks' next-generation virtual instrument sampling a customised Sadowsky Jim Hall model with dual pickups. This library is ideal for many genres, from jazz, funk, and R&B, to ambient, rock, pop, and beyond. With stunning realism and detail, you can write or perform virtually any rhythm or lead part you can imagine! The gorgeous warm tone of Archtop can be processed with internal or external amps, cabs, and FX, or left totally clean; with tons of subtle detail and two pickups, it excels at clean playing.
Impact Soundworks Forest Frame Drums is a unique collection of earthy percussion for Kontakt 4 or higher. Three handmade frame drums (Primary, Deep, and Small) have been sampled in great detail to add a warm and realistic sound for your compositions and particularly ideal for world music, underscore and even epic cues. The Primary Forest Drum was recorded close in a naturally ambient space which adds a pleasant 'splash' on loud hits. The Deep Drum is naturally quieter, but even lower-pitched and bassier, as it was recorded very close. The Small Drum is the simplest of the three with a naturally higher pitch; great for accompaniment.
The goal of Impact Soundworks Groove Bias was to create a set of deeply sampled acoustic drum kits inspired by classic 50s, 60s and 70s records and the timeless breakbeats we all know and love. For decades, these sounds have been imitated and sampled over and over, but many producers have preferred to try and capture old kits with pristine, modern recording methods. Not so with this library. The motto was “the more tubes, the better,” and Impact Soundworks armed ourselves to the teeth with beat-up mics, analog gear, vintage drums and tape machines.
Impact: Steel was intended to fill a gap found in popular commercial sound libraries. While several other products have metal hits and “found” percussion, none are extensively sampled and usable as individual, expressive instruments. The goal of this project was therefore to create a unique, detailed, and playable library with the same amount of multisampled detail one would expect from a high end percussion bank.
A flagship virtual instrument for electronic sound design, containing percussion, drum kits, impacts, slams, sweeps, textures, reverses, basses, and much more. Much like its little brother, the free Cinematic Synthetic Drums, the library is built from entirely original, synthesized sounds from a huge array of sound sources. This collection is inspired by the synthetic elements found in many modern film & game scores, trailers, and popular EDM (electronic dance music) genres like dubstep, drumstep, and complextro. With this library, compatible with Kontakt Player, you can instantly produce cutting-edge sounds using a wide variety of presets or create your own variations from scratch quickly and easily.
Continuing Impact Soundwork's Plectra Series of plucked, picked and strummed string instruments from around the world comes this collection of traditional folk harps! Featuring the lyre, lap harp, and celtic harp, this KONTAKT 4 sample library evokes images of the Irish countryside, Appalachian splendor, tall tales and a heart mug of mead beside a crackling fire. The intimate, close-miced sound is ideal for traditional, folk, medieval and Renaissance music as well as modern scores in any number of styles.
Welcome to the third entry in Impact Soundworks' Plectra Series of deep-sampled plucked, picked, and strummed instruments from around the globe! The Kazakh Dombra is an ancient fretted lute with two strings and an integral part of traditional music from Kazakhstan. It is playable as a solo instrument, as part of an ensemble, or to accompany epic songs and poetry. To truly capture the authentic playing style of the dombra, the instrument was performed by Asset Abdrakhmanov in Almaty, Kazakhstan and recorded by Sergei Smorgov.
Impact Soundworks created Koto Nation out of a desire to see traditional Japanese instruments receive a deep, thorough sampling treatment. While there are a handful of libraries which include samples of the koto and shamisen, they feature only the most basic articulations and few (if any) velocities or round robins. To their knowledge, the bass koto has never been sampled at all! Given the popularity of the shakuhachi and taiko in many Western film soundtracks, Impact Soundworks wanted to allow film composers, hobbyist producers, ethnomusicologists, anime fans and everyone in between access to these classic instruments and complete the repertoire of traditional Japanese sounds available.
Deeply sampled sitar, tambura, tabla and baya library. The library is built on 2.7gb of “unlocked” 24-bit/44.1khz audio content. Eighteen main patches cover a variety of important playing techniques for all four instruments, all of which can be loaded from up to three positions: close, room, and ambient. This, combined with extensive sampling for velocity and round robins, allows you to carefully reproduce authentic sounds OR simply add flourishes of flavor to your compositions with a minimum of time spent.
Resonance contains a total of 33 "Natural" patches and 49 "Designed" patches built from 14 distinct instruments or ensembles. Many of the instruments were created by Jim Doble of Elemental Percussion. Others were more simple found metals, such as sheets, pot lids, a music stand, bolts and snare wires. The instruments were played using fingers, hands, and of course, various mallets (soft, wood, rubber and metal). A cello bow was also used to evoke very different sustained tones.
With the success of Impact Soundworks' Shreddage guitar libraries, the company received an overwhelming number of requests to do some sort of bass library in the same style. At first, they thought about doing a quick-and-dirty bass instrument focused solely on rock and metal. This would have been easy to do, but decided that they wanted to go above and beyond their initial scope and make a truly powerful, flexible virtual instrument.
Impact Soundworks Shreddage is a DI guitar sample library like no other. Rather than trying to cover every possible technique or style, it is focused entirely on rhythm playing in a rock/metal style. The result of this intense design focus (and two full years of research and development) is an extremely playable and realistic instrument. This library isn´t just for composers, though it is very easy to use in the context of trailer cues, video game arrangements and other massive productions. It´s also a great tool for producers and even guitarists!
