The Unfinished Diva Bundle comprises of Matt Bowdler's eight soundsets for u-He Diva: Diva Cassini, Diva Genotype, Diva Ex Machina, Diva Phenom Vol 1, Diva Phenom Vol 2, Diva Praxis, Diva Skyline Vol 1 and Diva Skyline Vol 2.
All eight soundsets provide a world of analogue modelling warmth and grit for your compositions, songs and projects. You can read more, listen to demo tracks and watch walkthrough videos on each individual soundset:
Cassini is inspired by spectacular film scores such as Blade Runner 2049, Ghost in the Shell, Ex Machina, Rememory, Tron: Legacy and Beyond the Black Rainbow; providing an intense, futuristic tapestry, ideal for creating mesmerising and beautiful dystopian soundscapes.
Welcome to the dark side of Diva. A broken, analogue world of dusty circuits, wandering tuning and distorted noise. Genotype is erratic, dynamic and raw; beautiful in a sinister and twisted way. There’s nothing subtle or stable about Genotype but it’s dripping with atmosphere and depth; a warped richness and charm; like the allure of a charismatic hitman or femme fatale.
The collection features a plethora of warm, punchy basses; ethereal, drifting pads; gentle, old school sequences; deep, dynamic bass lines; classic, spacey leads; and sinister, evocative soundscapes. All programmed with a little musical, kinetic energy in the mod wheel, as you would expect. With an emphasis on expressive, vintage, analogue synth sounds with a modern cinematic twist.
Phenom provides a heady mix of classic, analogue synth tones – simplicity, drift and lo-fi charm. There is a wealth of silky pads, crisp leads, dark basses, ominous soundscapes and characterful sequences. All are designed to start small and build as you mix them together. There is no overly lush reverb, no hugely thick unison; just beautiful, uncomplicated, wistful ideas.
The Unfinished Diva Phenom Vol 2 soundset has been designed to capture the spirit of the amazing soundtrack to Stranger Things by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. It is full of warmth, intimacy and 1980s nostalgia. Utilising Diva’s amazing analogue emulation sound, Phenom produces a palette full of adventure, wonder and dread: Stephen Spielberg meets John Carpenter.
Dark and drifty, grimy and gorgeous, creepy and cool; Praxis shines an analogue light into the murkiest sonic territory. Dusty analogue synths on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Lush, experimental, warm, esoteric. It features greasy, brutal basses; noisy, wandering pads; eclectic, kinetic sequences; characterful, detuned leads; sinister, deep soundscapes and drones.
Diva Skyline aims to provide some of that much-loved analogue vibe for modern composing and electronica. It’s inspired by recent synth-heavy film scores such as Tron Legacyby Daft Punk, Oblivion by M83, and Ex Machina by Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury; There are even a few nods to classic John Carpenter and the revivalist Synthwave genre, as well as The Unfinished favourites: Olafur Arnalds and Jon Hopkins.
Volume 2 is the second half of this collection, providing esoteric pads, harrowing basses, exotic sequences and arps, mesmerising leads, and hellish soundscapes. All with the power, punch and delicacy you’d expect of accurate analogue circuit modelling. It’s time to add some unmistakable and unique analogue depth and grit to your music.
